Are you interested in supporting your recreations trail system? The trail ambassador program is a fantastic way to volunteer your time while you are out having FUN.
Our next online class runs on January 14th and 15th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on both dates.
What is a trail ambassador? We are the eyes and ears for our land managers, law enforcement and partnering agencies. Our job is to observe and report.
Our volunteers have a set of standard operating guidelines that are followed to ensure our ambassadors are safe. These guidelines also help keep the integrity of the program.
New for 2019 is our online training course. This interactive course uses covers the requires classroom instruction for becoming a trail ambassador. After the course, ambassadors will need to participate in a field day before becoming certified trail ambassadors. Field days are held as needed but can be conducted by any club / regional coordinator around the state.
We do have a few pre-requisites for the program.
This course is taught solely online. With that being said, you will need the following technical requirements prior to joining:
Plan on joining the online session at least 15 minutes early to ensure there isn't any technical problems. If you pre-register ahead of time, you should receive a 3-ring binder to follow along with during the class. Otherwise there will be a PDF document for students to follow along with as well.
